WhapiBot rules and sources

File, URL, and database sources; assignment from the agent's Base de conocimiento.

Where sources are managed

  1. In Administración → WhapiBot (/agents) use the Biblioteca (Library) section to create and organize shared workspace sources.
  2. In each agent’s detail, Base de conocimiento tab, assign the sources that agent should use.

Source types

Knowledge sources are classified as:

  • Archivo (File) — uploaded documents (for example PDF or Word)
  • URL — website or page for content extraction
  • Base de datos (Database) — database-type source

Do not use FAQ question-answer pairs as a source type: that pattern is not an origin type in the knowledge library.

How to add and assign

  1. In Biblioteca, create a Nueva fuente (New source) and choose the type.
  2. Complete the name and data (file, URL, or database origin depending on the type).
  3. Wait until the status is ready (for example Listo / Procesando).
  4. Open the agent → Base de conocimiento and assign the source.

Relationship with behavior

Sources feed the answers. Rules for when to transfer, quote, or update fields are configured in the Comportamiento tab, not in the library.

Note

There is no knowledge simulator in production. Validate the agent in real or controlled test conversations with your channel.
